Fairies (also spelled faeries). I’ve always loved them. In fact, when I was a child I wrote a story about a faery wedding taking place in my front yard. So mention the idea of a faery tea party and I am so there! 🙂 It doesn’t hurt that tea parties make me think of Alice in Wonderland, another big love of mine. 🙂 Some of the faeries in my tea party are out for a little mischief so, watch out. 😉 Well, what would you expect when you invite the King of the Dark Faeries to tea?
Yes, I did. He’s really a gentleman though, unless you push his buttons right. Shouldn’t be a problem, though. I invited his beloved, a faery godmother candidate, to the party as well. That should remind him politeness is a virtue. Now, what kind of tea would you like, my friends? Green? Chamomile? Some tasty rose hip tea? Oh, that will do nicely. Oh dear. Do be careful with that faery dust, Ianthe. My goodness!
When Ianthe began her career as a faery godmother, she stumbled so badly that Snow White will probably never speak to her again.
After a long suspension, she’s finally been given a chance to redeem herself…but everything on this latest assignment is going wrong. But why? Worse, she definitely doesn’t need an attractive mortal man distracting her from her duties.
Of course, needs and wants are two different things.
Briak has had his eye on Ianthe for a very, very long time, but he’s been waiting for just the right moment to make his move. Despite the fact all hell’s about to break loose on his watch, he can’t resist the opportunity to insert himself into her magical assignment. Can he convince Ianthe of her true calling and thereby win her heart? Or will his subterfuge ultimately cost him her love?
Uh oh, I hear drums! Let’s hope that doesn’t mean the faeries are getting up to trouble! *sigh* Must go corral them. In the meantime, enjoy a cup of tea and have a great time, and happy midsummer!
If you’d like to check out Changeling’s Crown it’s on sale at all ebook vendors. Don’t miss more of the party at the Midsummer Night’s Dream blog hop.
Sounds very intriguing! Will definitely check it out. 🙂
Thanks, PG! I hope you like it. Thanks for coming. There’s more tea here, if you’d like a refill. Happy summer solstice!
