This is easy, I enjoy reading, watching movies, working in my garden, and of course, writing.
I know, that’s four things, right?
If I had to pick one, for relaxing, it would be the reading. For soothing my mind, my garden, for creativity, writing because, yes, I can get ideas for more books while my hands are otherwise engaged. (it happens during housework too, but that’s a chore, not necessarily happy-happy-joy-joy-inducing.) That’s why Caitlin (in my Antique Magic series) gardens and it’s why Stacy and her family have an actual grove in some of the books in both the Stewards War and Celtic Stewards Chronicles series. 🙂
Wait, that’s still multiple things. Oh, well…. 🙂 For gardening, I like the potential that something might actually grow. *Side note, the picture at the top of this post is of my jasmine tree. It was a wee thing when we first planted it; now it’s taller than me.
For reading and movies, the stories ignite and excite my storyteller brain. For writing, well, again, the potential that it’s a story that keeps drawing me to it, day in and day out, and the ones that make it from inception to “The End” even tend to play in my dreams. That, I find very cool.
What is one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life?

Every time I read your work, I’m reminded of how powerful and healing words can be. Thank you for that. Hope your week is filled with light and good energy!
Thanks for your kind words. 🙂
I take a nap when needed. A power nap provides mental clarity and helps with body fatigue.

I agree. Naps are good for clearing your mind.
