What’s my dream job? *waves hands around website* Have you looked around my website at all? I am an author. I’ve always written. It does sound simple and cliché, but I really have been making up stories since I was a child. That I can recall, my first story was about a fairy princess and prince who lived in my front yard, and more specifically, their wedding. I somewhat recall writing a “book” in second or third grade, with an actual cover–hand drawn in Crayola by me, at the same time. All stapled together. 🙂
I’m sure Mom still has it somewhere.
By junior high, I started writing song lyrics. By high school, I had a poem published in the school paper, but I switched back to writing stories and (aside from a the school papers I had to write). I’ve been writing long-form fiction ever since, and some short stories (and even a few audiobooks!).
It’s not always easy, sometimes to get those books out. This year, particularly, caused me to slow down, but writing is still my dream job. But I have written and published 30 titles, seven series (one ongoing), and more always to come, as long as I can.
