This one’s from Historical and paranormal romance author Susan Macatee:

What is the working title of your book?

My title of my latest project  is Drawing Down the Shades–at the moment. It’s changed once already, so it’s possible it will change again.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

From an aside in my last novel, The Artist’s Inheritance.

What genre does your book fall under?
Supernatural fantasy or Supernatural Horror, depending on who you ask.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

I hate to say it, I’m not sure. Um… Alex McLaughlin, and maybe Anthony Hopkins for a certain annoying imp. For Caitlin, ooh. Danielle Panabaker looks close. After her,  Jolene Blaylock maybe. Or Ashely Judd. Ashley would have to change her hair color though.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Caitlin gets her hands on a genie in a bottle, so to speak. Sort of.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

Self-published.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
Juliet Blackwell’s Witchcraft Mysteries.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

If they love strong heroines, witches, Ghostbusters, 😉 and mind-twisting puzzles, they may like this one.

Now I’m supposed to tag five people. Oh sheesh. This is always the hard part! Who to choose?  Let’s see… ,Susan Macatee, Emily Guido, Merry Farmer, and Debra Glass  and Mackenzie Crowne.

Go visit them (Note: 2025: Merry and Susan’s are the only links that still work, alas). They’re very talented and sweet ladies.
