Suzanne G. Rogers is on my auto-pre-order list and so I read this book recently and–as usual–loved it. I recommend it! 🙂 If you’d like to see the full review (which I don’t do often, but Suzanne’s a special case!) you can see it on my other (neglected) site above.
Who can believe May is almost over, raise your hand.
Yeah, neither can I! So, what’s new in the writer’s sphere? Well, I’ve been busy busy with house stuff, (ugh!) and busy editing. Editing what, you ask? Why, the next Antique Magic book! Yes, my next urban fantasy book will be coming, very, very soon. I had hoped to get it out before now, but pesky thing is longer than I planned–and I got knocked down for two weeks not being able to keep anything in my stomach, which in turn left me with no desire or strength to edit.
(Oh, yeah, right. And there was reading through the monstrosity that was that pile of papers I showed you last month, and I sort of roughly plotted a new historical romance “series”. Yes, I cannot control the plot-bunnies, ever.).
Then, we had some house things we had to take care of, nothing too shocking, but it was to us. So, that’s been a minor nuisance.Continue reading “Monthly writer update”
Hi, everyone. I hope you’re doing well this morning. I’m coming in here to give you a heads up about another sff sale including two of my novels–Druid Warrior Prince as well as Changeling’s Crown. You can find that here:
Also, a little update. Nanowrimo’s April Camp Nanowrimo is speeding fast to its end. What have I been doing? Well, over the last year, in between finishing Camden Girls, (book 3 forthcoming!) And Stewards War (all available now) and Antique Magic (audiobooks of book 1 in the works and book 7 resting) I have written 2 books and 2 chapters of a trilogy set in the same world as Changeling’s Crown, based on another fairy tale. 🙂 I want to get the final manuscript written before I publish the first book so maybe you won’t have to wait so long for the series end. That’s the plan, anyway. I am hoping to have it solid enough to release book one by August or September. At least, that was the plan last August when I started the massive
headache project. Keep an ear out.
I’ve also pulled a mass of papers out of my backlog which will comprise a new secret project. Want a peek?Continue reading “End of April update and sale”
Easter romance sales!
(Well that’s not their official titles, but… Easter’s on its way–Goodness, how are we at Easter already??) At any rate, I have two bits of news for you. Sales and book news: (see below the cut for the links)
News point #1), I’m getting closer to finishing the next book in my Camden Girls series (for those of you awaiting my next Historical romance) and the next Antique Magic book. Woot! Too ambitious? We’ll see.

News point #2: I’ve put Changeling’s Crown out in all ebook sellers (scratch that, all but Googleplay. That’s a little more involved, but …do any of you purchase books at Googleplay?
It’s that time of year again. The Smashwords “Read an Ebook week” sale is live. If you’d like some cheap reads, I’ve got one for you. My medieval fantasy romance Druid Warrior Prince is part of the sale.
Actually, the date on that banner is… a bit off. Their sale goes through the 13th. Mine goes through March 14th. (16th if you go directly through Itunes, B&N, Amazon and Kobo). So, there you go.
Gwenevieve Macken’s well-ordered world falls into chaos as encroaching interlopers scheme to possess both her and her land. Although she’s been trained to spot the signs of inhuman evil in men, the amassing armies take on guises she never expected.
When a foreign guardian presents himself as her only option for salvation, Gwenevieve must make a choice between her desires, and fulfilling the mythic fate to which she was born. A forced marriage to a Tuatha dé Danann warrior isn’t part of her plan. Nor was true love.
I thought you’d like a little snippet from my new release Druid Defiance. This is from the first chapter.
So, does he open his eye–or does Aaron make it out of this ordeal alive? You’ll have to read to find out! 😉
Destined for War…
As Steward, Stacy travels to her ancestral home in Ireland to wed. When she is granted access to the family’s sacred site, her presence opens a magical portal that brings her into a new version of the world. Does this mean the gods approve and her wedding can move forward or will the evil Balor object and end the world once and for all?
If you’d like to check the book out (or the whole series!) you can find it on Amazon.
Oh, yes. I’m also involved in a group promo, for those of you in KU, do check out the Happily Ever After Clean Romance Reads events. It ends the end of this month, so do check it out. I hope you’ll find something you like there, and enjoy the snippet above. Have a good weekend!
