Here’s a snippet from my… *deep breath* newly-released historical romance novel, LETTERS TO ELLIE (The Lost Slipper Society, book two):

Eloise hadn’t heard back from Stephen all season. Had he forgotten her? She filled each letter she sent him with loving words.
Eloise welcomed her friends to her mother’s Christmas party. Red and green decorations filled all the halls. Father sang at the pianoforte. Eloise was more interested in her friends and dissecting Stephen’s last letter. “You haven’t heard from him since September? That was so long ago,” Nora said. “Are you sure there’s been no word since?”
“No. Not yet.”
“Have you written?” Irene asked.
Eloise made a face at Irene. “Several times! Jack teases me about getting a loan to afford all the stationery. I worry more that I sound foolish.”
“You can’t if you love him,” Nora said.
Will he write her back? You’ll have to read Letters to Ellie to find out!
The synopsis is as follows:
London debutant Eloise fell in love with a foreign baron who returned to Luxembourg far too soon. Unfortunately, her heart is broken when their correspondence suddenly breaks off.
After a lowly maid, Ellie, begins receiving love letters from the Luxembourg baron, she doesn’t know what to think. She is so distracted by the possibilities, she cannot see a dear neighbor’s heartfelt devotion.
When the misdirected letters are discovered at long last, will either Ellie or Eloise find happiness–or has fate dealt them both a cruel blow?
Letters to Ellie release today. February 5th!

Or get the paperback at Barnes and Noble, if you prefer.

Love this line: You can’t if you love him, referring to sounding foolish. Such a sweet sentiment and so true with love.
Thanks, Kayelle! It’s true. You can’t sound foolish to someone who loves you, right?
Now I’m wondering why he didn’t write! Lovely excerpt.
The Blurb is engaging.
I wish you great results with the book on the market.
