From the Archive: Eight Question meme
From the Archive: This is a repost of a blog post from 2016. I thought it would be fun to share here. I found this meme on author Vickie Taylor's blog.
1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
Same thing we do every day, Pinky. ;) Ten years ago (*thinks* It's been a while since I thought about this). Oh, I was writing the third book in my Antique Magic series, as usual, and updating this blog. I'd met my friends, sweet romance author Caroline Clemmons and Suzanne G. Rogers, through various groups we were in, and we were all working on various things. It was also the year I published my first Victorian/steampunk romance, Watchmaker's Heart.
2. What 5 things are on your to-do list?
a. I really need to finish the follow-up to my sweet Victorian romance Letters to Ellie.
b. I'd like to write blog posts
c. I call Mom every day, so that's on top of my to-do list.
d. Write more romances. It's in the process, friends, I promise.
3. What are 5 snacks you enjoy?
a. Potato chips used to be my go-to snack. Now, I'm trying to cut back on my salt so, I have to say unsalted Wheat Thins
b. Tea
c. Ginger snaps
d. GoldFish
e. Wheat Thins (as I mentioned above)
4. Name some things you would do if you were a millionaire:
A. I used to say I'd open my own publishing company but... *Waves hand to store*
Now? I'd invent something better than the computer. I don't know what, exactly, but I'd probably make up something that would do everything it did, but easier and more secure. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of skill to build what I see in my head. I can dream about it, though and just say it'll work in a Steampunk novel, but not have to worry about the logistics. (Hence, why I am a writer, and not an inventor.)
b. Maybe make my own course about....something. I just don't know what, offhand. Maybe hire someone to help me brainstorm some ideas. ;)
c. Hire a typist so I can write even more. :D
d. Save so I can afford the future--because who knows how much things are going to cost in 20 years? And so I can leave something for my family.
e. Probably get a few toys. (Better writing tools, computers and such, and probably Scrivener--Oh. Wait. I already got that last one. Hey, what did you think I meant by toys? ;))

a. I worry too much
