These are my standalone Steampunk and Gaslamp romance (Victorian era romances). Watchmaker’s Heart has the same feel as the Gears, Cogs, and Puppy Dogs series. House of Dark Envy has a similar feel to it as well, sans the clockwork puppies.

Lady of the Tarot
Lady of the Tarot is the odd man (er, woman) out. It’s a Gothic romance family saga taking place during the “Reign of Terror” (circa 1789), that technically has a companion short story with it. Lady of the Tarot is about the sister, with the short story (House of Cards) about the brothers of the heroine in LOT, that takes place between chapter one and chapter two of Lady of the Tarot.
There is romance in Lady of the Tarot (with, spoiler alert, an HEA), but no romantic thread in “House of Cards”. If you want the HEA, start with Lady of the Tarot. Both have an HEA, just in different forms. Lady of the Tarot has the more traditional romance ending. (But, as was typical for me at the time, Lady of the Tarot was written after “House of Cards” They do not–I repeat, do not–have to be read in that order).
