Sunday Update post

Merry Christmas and news #BloggersBlast #newrelease #timetravel

Sunday Post was conceived by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hi, everyone. I hope you are all well, and have had (or are looking forward to) a nice holiday. I’ve been down since Thanksgiving with excruciating back pain and so that put a stop to everything for the whole month. I couldn’t sit at the computer for more than a few minutes without ending up in agony. 🙁 It was awful. What did I do to it? Read More »Merry Christmas and news #BloggersBlast #newrelease #timetravel

What to do when writing is hard…

Sunday Post was conceived by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

*sigh*Sorry. This went live early…again. Anywho, how are you this Sunday? I picked up some new books to read.

It’s been a good week, but albeit, one in which I ended up doing a lot more work than I thought I had to do. Why? If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen this already, but I  came home from a walk at the park this weekend thinking, “Oh, I know how to finish that book. 10,000 words should do it!” (which book? You’ll have to wait and see, although, there is a tie into one of my series. And yes, I’m also working on the next Antique Magic book. :))

Only to be reminded I hadn’t gotten to the heart of said-story, yet. Okay, I officially admit it. I write too much. I did make progress, though I’m not sure how much. Shall we say 25,000-40,000 words to go? Ugh! So what do we do when writing gets stuck? Read, of course.

Yes, I got some reading done, but didn’t finish like I’d expected to (No, I take it back. *smacks forehead* I finished the audiobook of Gail Carriger’s Prudence. Enjoyed it, if you want to know. 🙂 I may put the next one on my to be read list. I’m listening to the audiobook of Kelley Armstrong’s Stolen, now. I pretty much just started it, but so far, so good. :))

Not very active month but an update–#turtlewriters #writerslife #bloggersblast

Depending on your point of view…

Anyway, I hope you’ve been having a good month. Things have been settling down here, finally, and I’ve got back to some writing. Whatever plans I had for certain manuscripts, this year, have been shifted. Oh, well. It’s one of those things that always seems to happen to me: make plans, plans go down the drain. *thbbpptt*

The time I’ve taken “off” (yes, in quotes) however, I’ve been reading. So what’s been on my list this month? (Call it the month of April)

Meme hosted by Kimberley of Caffeinated Book reviews

The Sunday Post I meant to write last night and get out? Once again, I was so focused on other things it failed to come out of my brain until this morning. I know I should schedule them in advance but I just never think about it! Which is uber annoying when I want to participate in things that have linky lists that have to be filled out 24 hours (ish) in advance. That’s why I haven’t done Weekend Writing Warriors in ages. *pout*

If you’re a friend of mine on Facebook, this whole last week has had me focused on studying more of that something I mentioned last week and the week before. If you’re a friend of mine on Facebook, you’ve seen the subject come up time and again (*here’s an idea Juli. Save the links here instead of on Facebook!). Why yes. Good idea, I’ll get right on that.

(Yeah, we’ll see if that happens!)

Anyway, two bits of news for you all: I was part of a fun Facebook takeover last week and I want to say again, thanks to all who popped by and to Decadent Kane for inviting me! Generally, I don’t care for the vibe of Facebook, but I don’t mind the parties. They can be a fun confrontational-free, Politics-free zone in the quagmire that is Facebook.

Two, the giveaway for an audible coupon for Lady of the Tarot, is …about over. ( I hope the rafflecopter doesn’t keel over early, it tends to always thwart me that way.) At any rate, the giveaway doesn’t end until the 30th so feel free to pop over and join in, should you wish.
3. I’ve been wrangling with this all week but it is so importante, I need to stop babbling and say…I HAVE A NEW BOOK OUT!!!
With the recent Photobucket debacle, (pb can bite me), I haven’t had a chance to upload the cover everywhere, but it’s an historical fantasy and the story goes a little something like this:

FRIGGA’S LOST ARMY.

Synopsis:
In the winter of 1943, Benjamin is just a grunt and Army cook—until he finds himself captured, along with his unit, taken prisoner by Mussolini’s troops after the Battle of Tunisia. Read More »I give up–and a new release. #Sundayblogs #BloggersBlast
