Saturday snaps, updates, and reading.

Sorry I have disappeared this week, guys.I’ve been working on three things at once and having some computer glitches. I will have a new site out shortly, and possibly a new blog link. I’ve also been working on a new story and reading. I’ve recently finished reading a new story by Jolene Dawe called Spirit Touched. It’s awesome. 🙂 You can see my little review for it on the new blog here.

And since y’all liked my picture from last week, here’s another. A pretty magnolia (I think it’s a magnolia), from another recent walk. I hope you like it. Continue reading “Saturday snaps, updates, and reading.”

Weekend news and reviews

Druid Warrior's Heart by Juli D. Revezzo, Celtic mythology, Medieval romanceWow, is it Saturday already? This week has flown by and I’ve spent it…writing. (What else, oh. Well, letting my back rest [ouch!] and knitting, but that’s a different post). I’ve  already got my first 10,000 words in for the year. Been working very hard on the sequel to Druid Warrior’s Heart, while awaiting revisions for another, (and letting Mourning Dove Locket’s revisions percolate). In the meantime, I found some nice reviews for Keeper of the Grove and Druid Warrior’s Heart so I thought I’d share them. 🙂

This one came in earlier in the month.  The reviewer said, of DWH: “Her work is masterfully woven and absolutely delightful.”

She also had this to say about Keeper of the Grove:

I couldn’t put this book down. If you like breathtaking, spellbinding, intrigue, compelling characters. This is your book and you will be looking forward to many more as I am. ” Debi Allen, Amazon

Shucks! Thank you, Debi! That’s so sweet. 🙂

And of Druid Warrior’s Heart this came in from Tony.
“Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns…This could also make another great true/false historical romance movie, or mini TV series.”

Wow. Wouldn’t that be great? (Hey, a gal can dream)

And last but not least, this one came in yesterday for Druid Warrior’s Heart at Tome Tender. Thank you, Dii!

A great start to the year. Thank you all! I’ve been reading a couple good books, myself: this Victorian Romance By Suzanne G. Rogers and this vampire novel, and this fantasy romance novel by Jolene Dawe. Oh, yeah. And the new Moorcock novel, when I’m not doing all that other stuff. (I don’t read much, do I? ;)) Meanwhile, I’m going back to er… work. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Friday News and Reviews

News, well…There’s not much news to report. I’ve been working on revising a novel for release, I hope in another month, but we shall see. Also, as you can see, I’ve had lots of fun hosting guests. I hope you haven’t missed any of them. In the meantime,  another review popped up for Changeling’s Crown:

“Changeling’s Crown by Juli D. Revezzo is a delightfully light fantasy romance filled with humor, an endearing heroine and a darkly fascinating hero….Fun, fast, filled with light humor, a taste of darkness and just the right touch of magic, kind of makes you forget that Ianthe DID have a job to do!”~ Di, Tome Tender

Thank you, Di! I’m pleased you enjoyed CHANGELING’S CROWN.

Changeling's Crown, fantasy romanceWhen Ianthe began her career as a faery godmother, she stumbled so badly that Snow White will probably never speak to her again.

After a long suspension, she’s finally been given a chance to redeem herself…but everything on this latest assignment is going wrong.

But why?

Worse, she definitely doesn’t need an attractive mortal man distracting her from her duties. Of course, needs and wants are two different things.

Briak has had his eye on Ianthe for a very, very long time, but he’s been waiting for just the right moment to make his move.

Despite the fact all hell’s about to break loose on his watch, he can’t resist the opportunity to insert himself into her earthly assignment. Can he convince Ianthe of her true calling and thereby win her heart? Or will his subterfuge ultimately cost him her love?

Available at: Amazon, Barnes and Noble more through this one stop link, and in paperback.

Friday news and reviews one day early.

I wanted to wait until Friday, I really did! But this is too exciting. In recent days, I got a fabulous review for my latest short story Sing a Mournful Melody from a very cool blogger, Bodicia of A Woman’s Wisdom. She called the story: Very atmospheric and nicely crafted.

🙂 Thank you, Bodicia!

You can see her full review here.

Blurb:

At the turn of the 20th century, tragedy has left Maribelle grief-stricken. After her beloved husband is murdered, his body disappears from his crypt. Worse, ghostly voices call from the widow’s Graphophone. Is she losing her mind, or does something wicked this way come?

If you’d like to check the story out, it’s available at Amazon.
