Hi, everyone. I hope you are all well, and have had (or are looking forward to) a nice holiday. I’ve been down since Thanksgiving with excruciating back pain and so that put a stop to everything for the whole month. I couldn’t sit at the computer for more than a few minutes without ending up in agony. 🙁 It was awful. What did I do to it? I was in a car wreck back in college, that’s what; (A long time ago!) and because of that, sometimes it just pops wrong.Well, that’s what happened. I got up from the computer and *ccrrriiicckk* that was it. I was done for. It just served to remind me that once you screw up your back, you’re F*** for life.
But I’m finally getting back to normal–just in time for Christmas. Woot! Great, because who has baking to do, raise your hands? Yep, I do too!
As to the writing, I’m now inserting my revisions of the (*cough cough*) next Antique Magic book and trying to make sense of my chicken scratch to put said-notes into the computer. *headdesk* Yes, Juli never won any penmanship awards! Anywho, I hope I’ll be able to get it to my editor before the new year is too old. We shall see. I’ve had fun writing it so I hope it will be worth the wait!
If y’all are waiting for that paperback of my newest(ish) time travel novella Fifty Measly Bucks (To Save a Witch), it’s finally available at Lulu. (It will be a few days before the pb shows up at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, apparently. I’ve never worked with Lulu before, and never before Christmas so I don’t know how long that will take. But… The paperback is up (at least) at the Lulu marketplace, and discounted for last-minute gift-giving and, just so darned cute! 🙂 See?
Anyway, I think it’s adorable. Obviously, the ebook‘s out there already and as soon as I can, (if I can) I’ll link them together on Amazon.
(And I forget what else I was going to say….Oh well.) So I guess for right now, that’s all the news I have to share. I’m working as fast as I can on more stories and hope I can get back to my normal pace next year. *knock on wood*
Oh, and in other news, I got to see The Nutcracker and the Four Realms recently, loved it! It’s very fantasy-oriented, reminded me directly of Alice in Wonderland, at times, and…it has a very strong steampunk element to it. Plus, I loved the heroine’s dresses. 🙂 I don’t understand its lower rating on IMDB. It’s got Steampunk and fantasy elements, and nods to Alice in Wonderland, what’s not to love? If you’re looking for a movie to take in over the holiday, I recommend it!
Until later friends, here’s wishing you love, light, peace, happiness and much reading goodness! And Merry Christmas!
