Multi-published erotic romance author Julia Rachel Barrett is a lover of the outdoors, gardening, hiking, biking. She also loves to cook, so it’s clear, she doesn’t just sit chained to her keyboard every day! She’s created a host of erotic romance titles in various genres, whose leading men have been called insanely sexy. While the bulk of her success has come with small indie publishers like Evernight Publishing, and Resplendence Publishing, and Siren-Bookstrand, she’s recently tried her hand at self-publishing with a chilling little ghost story, Incorporeal. Today she shares her reason for writing, and a little from Incorporeal. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into her life and work, and thank her (and you, our visitors, too! :)) for stopping by!
Writing as Therapy
I write because I can’t help it. Even if I didn’t write books or a blog, I’d still have a journal available to jot down thoughts, poetry, dreams and nightmares. I have stories in my head that need telling. Incorporeal was one of those stories demanding to be told, regardless of whether a publisher wanted it or not.

Here’s the blurb:
Sara Wise is sick of ghosts. They’ve haunted her since she was a child, destroying her family, endangering her life. When an incorporeal being appears in her shower, she curses him soundly and orders him out, but this ghost is sticky. Not only does he invade her shower, he moves into her home, invading her dreams, sharing her bed. The reluctant Sara finds herself falling in love with a dead man.
Despite Sara’s objections, Natan de Manua isn’t permitted to leave. Protecting the woman is both his penance and his means to redemption. She’s not easy to protect, she fights him nearly every step of the way, except in her bed. Nathan may have come to regain his soul, but instead he risks losing his heart.
