What happens after The End? ~ @MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #MSS54

I’ve never participated in one of these particular bloghops before, but this question (from last week) intrigued me. You, my dear readers, haven’t seen me personally on my blog lately because, you know? I’ve been trying to answer this very thing. You’ve seen my complete body of work, no doubt. Most of these books have somehow turned into series. So for what happens after the end? Let’s see….When I got to the end of Drawing Down the Shades, I had in mind exactly where the Antique Magic series was going next…but. Caitlin threw another storyline at me and insisted that one come first. I’ve been bashing my head against a wall trying to write both of the books, and stuck trying to figure it where the first one goes, ever since. (I hate to use the word Writer’s Block here, but let’s just say I’m ready to throw a certain little witch on the bonfire soon, if she doesn’t tell me how her darned story goes! *laughs*)

House of Cards. I’d always planned to continue writing something more about this family but it took me a while to get the next member’s jaws unstuck. In the course of working all that out, you’ll never believe what happened. *g* (Okay, maybe you will–at least the writers will) The short story has spawned a whole new novel-length (yes, novel-length) manuscript. I don’t want to jinx it by talking about it too much yet, because this manuscript has been uber-tempramental, but it might be going to my beta readers soon. (*knock on wood*) Does it fit into the sexy category? A little…at least, I think so. More than the first as the heroine is in love. :) (No, I’m not kidding) You’ll see why sometime in the next oh, say three or four months, I hope. I daresay it’s closer to release than any other. (Maybe *zips lip*)

Passion’s Sacred Dance currently has a work-in-progress (or two) kicking around my computer–and my faery godparents (from Changeling’s Crown) are toying with me, hinting, hinting. We’ll see what, if anything, happens there. So, busy. Writers, how are your manuscripts going?

Civil War EVPs

Went poking around the web earlier and found this interesting article about a group of ghost hunters in–of all places–my hometown of Tampa Bay.

http://ow.ly/eZNOk

EVP, for those who don’t know, stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena. Meaning, in a nutshell, these fellas recorded a ghost speaking…*shudders* Or according the Skeptic’s Dictionary:

“Electronic voice phenomenon is the alleged communication by spirits through tape recorders and other electronic devices.”

What makes this article even more interesting to me is they claim their ghosts are from the Civil War, and, well, there’s a Civil War ghost in my novel The Artist’s Inheritance. :) But he’s a sweetie–or I think he is. You’ll have to read the book yourself and see what you think!

What do you think? Have you ever been ghost hunting? Ever heard a ghost’s voice?
